Addie Sue Dixon

Funeral services for Addie Sue Dixon, age 85, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 8, 2024, in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jay Moore will officiate.

Mrs. Dixon was born on January 25, 1939, in Dublin, Georgia. She was a lifelong resident of Laurens County, a 1957 graduate of East Laurens High School and was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. She retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She loved to fish, cook, and take care of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Arrie Curl Jackson and nine siblings. Mrs. Dixon passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her residence.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Billy R. Dixon; two sons, William Keith Dixon (Terry) and Kenneth Alton Dixon (Sandi); grandchildren, Chad Dixon, Dana Dixon Collier (Kole), Corey Dixon (Whitney) and Dylan Dixon; great grandchildren, Blayne Roberson, Cash Roberson, Allie Gore, Blakely Dixon and Blair Dixon and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Keith Dixon, Kenny Dixon, Chad Dixon, Corey Dixon, Dylan Dixon and Cash Roberson.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
