Albert Wayne Layfield

Memorial services for Albert Wayne Layfield, age 66 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the First Christian Church. Rev. Billy Glosson will officiate. Mr. Layfield was born on April 23, 1950 in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Albert Lee and Helen Brown Layfield. He was retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base as a Civil Service Worker. He served as a Staff Sergeant for the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Avondale Baptist Church. Mr. Layfield passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Serenity Place. Mr. Layfield is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Layfield of Dudley, 2 sons, Kevin Layfield of Dudley, and Gary Layfield of Warner Robins, 3 brothers, Keith Layfield of Warner Robins, Neil Layfield of Warner Robins, and Vance Layfield of Byron, a sister, Delores Johnson of Byron, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Layfield to Serenity Place at 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
