Alice Purser

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Crabb Purser, age 97 will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Union Grove Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery. Rev. James Covington and Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate. Mrs. Purser was born on December 3, 1917 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Rueben Marcus and Alice Morris Crabb. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Morgan Elwood Purser, and by her son, Larry Elwood Purser. She was a member of Faith Christian Assembly. She worked at Naval Ordnance Plant in Macon, and Apparelcraft in Wrightsville. She was a homemaker and a child care provider all of her life. Mrs. Purser passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2015 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Purser is survived by her son, Jerry Purser of Dublin, 2 daughters, Patrilla Sterling of Dublin, and Elaine (Michael) Sanders of Marshalville, a daughter-in-law, Jackie Purser of Dublin 9 grandchildren, Chris Purser, Brad Purser, Robin Lord, Stephen Purser, Amy Wall, Kelly McAdams, Mark Sterling, Crystal Genteman, and Miranda Covington, 13 great grandchildren, a niece, Patricia Brown, and a nephew, Thelmon Crabb. Pallbearers will be Chris Purser, Brad Purser, Stephen Purser, Mark Sterling, Travis McAdams, and Drew Genteman. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
