Alice Mcafee Wood

Funeral services for Alice McAfee Wood, age 96, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday , July 22, 2025, at Bethel Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Stanley Funeral Home Monday night from 6-8PM.

Ms. Wood was born on July 1, 1929, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was a member of Bethel Methodist Church where she dedicated her life to serving God and enjoyed the fellowship of the Bethel Women's Bible Study. She was preceded in death by her parents Leo McAfee and Susie Price McAfee, her husband, Ernest Wood, a brother Charles McAfee and a sister Joyce McAfee Sumner. Ms. Wood passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.

She is survived by her son, Harley (Cathy) Wood of Eatonton, daughter, Alison (Gary) Harrison of Wrightsville, Susan Wood of Wrightsville, siblings, Fay (Janice) McAfee of Wrightsville, Bobby (Jeanette) McAfee of Wrightsville and Billy (Kay) McAfee of Dublin, grandchildren, Michelle Wood, Christopher Wood, Michael (Amberlin) Harrison, Brian (Candayce) Harrison and Jennifer (Cameron) Michael and 8 great grandchildren. (Charley, Alan, Margaret, Alyssa, Karla, Allie, Henry, Tuck)

Pallbearers will be Michael Harrison, Brian Harrison, Christopher Wood, Timothy McAfee, Todd McAfee, John McAfee and Cal Brantley.
