A Celebration of Life for Annie Ellen Smith, age 94 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tony Lupton and Rev. Curtis Koscheski will officiate.
Mrs. Smith was born April 1, 1931, in Emanuel County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William Clarence Chambers and Lizzie Adel Marsh Chambers. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Willie Rance Smith and by her special fur baby; Babie. She was retired from Rockwell Automation where she was a member of the 500 mile club and played softball. She was a courtesy clerk for Kroger. She was a member of Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene where she taught Kindergarten Sunday School for 30 years and served on the flower ministry. She was an avid walker and loved road races. She was a member of the Bowling League and loved and had a passion for cutting grass and doing yard work. Mrs. Smith went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Ellen Marie Westover of Dublin; 2 sons, William Westover of TN, and Jerry (Glenda) Smith of NC; a brother, James Thomas (Candi) Chambers of VA; 2 sisters, Nellie Mae (Bob) Schwitzer of UT, and Ruby Adele Chambers Pulliam of NC; 3 grandchildren, Carla Westover, Spencer (Shannon) Smith, and Angelia (Jeff) Shelton; 11 great-grandchildren and caregiver Melissa (Beth) Wood; 1 great-great-grandchild, Nate Wood; a special friend and helper, Ken Foskey; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be "Zeke" Ellington, Ken Foskey, Skip Bozeman, Keith Foskey, Joseph Knight, and David Wilkes.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Friends and family can visit at the home of Melissa and Beth Wood at 129 Lakeview Drive, East Dublin, GA 31027.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Smith to Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory at P.O. Box 1999, Dublin, GA 31040 or Outlaw Florist at 124 Keen Street, East Dublin, GA 31027.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
