Archie Gunn, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Archie Gunn, Sr., age 76, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center with interment to follow Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene. Rev. James Hammock and Rev. Kenny Rowland will officiate. Mr. Gunn was born September 11, 1938 in McRae, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Eschol & Thelma Ray Gunn and a son, Joel Stanley Gunn. He was a Deacon of East Dublin First Baptist Church and was formerly employed by United Insurance of America for 40 years as a salesman. Mr. Gunn passed away Monday, March 02, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Mary Annie Gunn of East Dublin, a son, Archie Gunn, Jr. of Doraville, a daughter, Judy Gunn Abston of Silas, AL, a brother, Eschol Gunn, Jr. of McRae, and two sisters, Hazel Bohannon of Macon and Bernice Gay of Rhine. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the East Dublin Dayspring Worship Center. Pallbearers will be Billy Thompson, Roy Thompson, Lee Edge, Jack Jones, Terry Tyson, and Donnie Gay. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
