Barbara Allen Jackson

Graveside funeral services for Barbara Allen Jackson, age 73 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Orphans Cemetery in Eastman, Georgia. Mrs. Jackson was born April 20, 1948, in Eastman, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Morgan and Bessie Frances Barlow Allen. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Derek Jackson. She was a retired LPN for Fairview Park Hospital and a homemaker. She loved cooking, sewing, and taking care of her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching Westerns on television. She was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, at her residence. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, James Carrol Jackson of Dublin, 2 sons, Andrew (Mallette) James Allen of Dublin, and Eric (Courtney) Waylon Winnor Smith of Dublin, 2 stepdaughters, Melanie J. Thompson of Milledgeville, and Heidi K. Jackson of Dublin, 2 brothers, Tim (Harriette) Allen of Eastman, and Danny (Billie) Allen of Smarr, 3 sisters, Sandra (Robert) Ussery of Brunswick, Vickie (Vance) Clay of Milledgeville, and Mary Ann Evans of Dublin, 4 grandchildren, James Colby Jackson, Audrey Macayla Allen, Allyson Mackenzie Allen, and Stella Morgan Allen, and 2 great-grandchildren, Dyer Jackson and Lenoir Jackson. Pallbearers will be Colby Jackson, Jamie Wilkinson, Jameson Houser, Caleb Houser, Larry Knight, and Brian Ussery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2022, at Orphans Cemetery. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
