Barbara Ann King

A private memorial service for Barbara Ann King, age 85 will be held later. Mrs. King was born September 24, 1935, in Anniston, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Joy Tilman and Nancy Lois Yarbrough Wingard. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Joy Wingard. She has lived in Laurens County for the past 12 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker. She was married to her husband for 66 years and have known each other for a lifetime. Mrs. King passed away Monday, July 26, 2021, at her residence. Mrs. King is survived by her loving husband, Robert Bruce King, Sr, of Dublin, 2 sons, Robert Bruce (Nancy) King, Jr. of St. Augustine, FL, and David (Jana) Paul King of Lynchburg, VA, and 2 daughters, Barbara Lynn Rheney of Dublin, and Mary Elizabeth "Beth" (Michael) Hooks of Dublin, a sister, Alice Lynn (Bill) Mahan of Decatur, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in memory of Mrs. King to Serenity Hospice at 520 Hillcrest Parkway, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
