Barbara Faye Thompson

Memorial Services for Mrs. Barbara Faye Thompson, age 79 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 5, 2015 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Lowery will officiate. Mrs. Thompson was born on October 1, 1936 in Cadwell, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Authur Lee and Nellie Bond Thompson. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was retired from Southern Printing Company. Mrs. Thompson passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Serenity Place. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her daughter, Sonjia (Dell) Purvis of Savannah, 2 brothers, Sam (Pat) Thompson of Cadwell, and Charles (Faye) Thompson of Cadwell, a sister-in-law, Brenda Smith Garrison, a grandchild, Kirk Purvis, and nieces and nephews, Tracy (Greg) Graham, Shari Daniel, Samantha (Joe) Riner, Patrisa (Larry) Overstreet, Michelle (Jeff) Dean, and Lee Merida. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Thompson to Serenity Place at 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021 or to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 1697 GA Highway 126, Cadwell, GA 31009. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
