Barney Thomas, Jr.

Funeral services for F.B. "Barney" Thomas, Jr., age 88 will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Duggan Cemetery. Bishop Tim Chatman and Rev. Bob Williams will officiate. Mr. Thomas was born on December 8, 1927 in Dudley, Georgia. He was the son of the late F. Barney Thomas, Sr. and Myrtle Paul Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Algarine Thomas. He was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. He was retired from J.P. Stevens and Company. Mr. Thomas passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Serenity Place. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Annette Thomas of Dublin, a son, Mike Thomas of Dublin, a stepson, Gary Holmes of Dublin, a stepdaughter, Pam Holmes of Dublin, a sister, Leila Parker of Dudley, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. "Please Don't Vote for that Lady For President." The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
