Bennie Michael Claxton

Graveside services with Military Honors for Bennie "Mike" Claxton, Sr., age 80, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 30, 2024, at Rehoboth Cemetery.

Mr. Claxton was born on May 25, 1944, in Dublin, Georgia. He was a retired US Navy Chief Petty Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Georgia Snell Claxton; 2 sisters, Mary Ann Williams and Catherine McCullen; and his wife, Linnie B. Claxton. Mr. Claxton passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his residence.

He is survived by his 3 sons, Calvin (Rose) Claxton of Wrightsville, John (Jennifer) Claxton of Richmond Hill, and Mike Claxton, II of Blue Springs, NE; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
