Bessie "Ruthie" Mimbs

Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie "Ruthie" Mimbs, age 92 will be held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Tim Tharp and Rev. L.T. Logue will officiate. Mrs. Mimbs was born June 2, 1927 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was a retired machine operator with Apparel Craft. She was of the Nazarene faith and member of Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene where she was the 2010 Mother of the Year. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Daniel Garnto and Bessie Pearl Garnto, four brothers, three sisters, and her husband George Wesley Mimbs. Mrs. Mimbs is survived by her daughters, Jean Smith of Adrian and Melody (Danny) Wynn of Wrightsville, sister Madonna Carter of Bixby, OK, two grandchildren Marcie Smith (Brett) Jones and Casey Smith both of Adrian, two great grandchildren Whitney Calhoun (Jeremy Mosley) of Adrian and Nicole Jones (Eric Doerr) of Cadwell, two great-great grandchildren Genevieve Mosley and Hazley Doerr, her loving dog Princess, and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bill Carter, Danny Powell, Charles Garnto, Robbie Powell, Danny Garnto and William Sumner The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Serenity Hospice, 520 Hillcrest Pkwy, Dublin, GA 31021 or the Mt. Olive Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 591 Mt. Olive Church Rd, Wrightsville, GA 31096. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
