Betty Sue Moore

Funeral services for Betty Sue Moore, age 89 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Sammy Hall will officiate. Mrs. Moore was born on December 20, 1927 in Kite, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Willie Horace Stephens and Alice Cordry Stephens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James D. Moore. She was retired as seamstress for Oxford Manufacturing. She was a member of Wadley United Methodist Church. She moved from Wadley in 1967 to Dublin where she made her home for the last 51 years. Mrs. Moore passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Tranquility Cobb Hospice House in Austell. Mrs. Moore is survived by her son Danny (Suzanne) Moore of Dublin, a daughter, Sara (Marvin) Webb of Winston, a brother, W. H. Stephens, Jr. of Wrightsville, a sister, Sara (Kenneth) Helton of Easley, SC, 6 grandchildren, Greg Webb, Scott Webb, Dawn Webb, Gordon Moore, Leigh-Ann Tribble, and Kimberly Price, and 9 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bob Gay, Jimmy Stephens, Johnny Scarbrough, Kevin Goodwin, Paul Griggs, and Danny Davis. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mrs. Moore to Tranquility Cobb Hospice at 4040 Hospital West Drive, Austell, GA 30106. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
