Betty Paul

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Betty Caneega Paul, age 85, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Jarrell Lillard officiating. Mrs. Paul was born August 25, 1929 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Henry Brinson Caneega and Addie Crawford Caneega, her husband, Rex Paul, three brothers, H. B. Caneega, Jr., Wilbur M. Caneega and Lamar Caneega and a sister, Billie C. Bogue. She was a member of Arline Chapel United Methodist Church and was a former dental assistant for Baynes Dental Office. She was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law who had a love of antiques, flowers and classical music. Mrs. Paul passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. She was survived by her son, Charles B. (Nelda) Paul of Wrightsville, her daughter, Melody Paul (Ryan) Benton of Danielsville, a sister, Grace C. Claxton of Wrightsville, a granddaughter, Layla Paul and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the funeral home. At Mrs. Paul's request, she asked that no flowers be sent for her service but that memorial contributions be made to Arline Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Jeanette Caneega, 2961 Calvary Church Road, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Claxton, Artie Claxton, Michael Caneega, David Claxton, Jerry Marshall, Marcus Price and Tommy Paul. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
