Betty Jean Preston

A private memorial services for Betty Jean Preston, age 86 will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Preston was born on May 29, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Roma Dawson Powers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sammie Morell Preston, and by her son, Darryl W. Preston. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Preston passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Fairview Park Hospital. Mrs. Preston is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Bonita "Bo" Preston of Dublin, a daughter-in-law of Dublin, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Henry and Susanne Hammrick of West Virginia, 4 grandchildren, Wendy Wilkes, Shane Preston, Keith Preston, and Suzanne Lake, and 11 great grandchildren. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
