Betty Powell Price

Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Powell Price, age 90, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 in Westview Cemetery with Rev. Harry Hadden and Rev. Burton Dixon officiating. Mrs. Price was born on December 20, 1930 in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late John Marvin Powell, Sr., and Bertha Powell Carey. She was a 1947 graduate of Wrightsville High School. Mrs. Price married the late Cleon Buford Price on January 7, 1950 and was member of New Home Baptist Church. She retired with 40 plus years from Apparelcraft, Apparelbrands, and Joette Manufacturing. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, J. Leonard Powell, Sr., John Marvin Powell, Vann Carey, and David Carey, and sisters, Carrie Powell Hadden and Dessie Powell Kniphfer. Mrs. Price passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Washington County Extended Care Facility. Mrs. Price is survived by her daughter, Frieda (Mike) Brinson of Wrightsville, her granddaughter, Melissa (Jason) Sikorski of Madison, and great-grandchildren, Abigail Colleen Sikorski, and John Michael Sikorski of Madison. Pallbearers will be Leonard Powell, Jr., Ambrose Powell, James Keyton, Wallace Kniphfer, Billy Price, James Price, Ronnie Josey, and Glynn Claxton. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in Westview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Home Baptist Church or Wrightsville First United Methodist Church. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
