Betty Jo Hatton Young, age 85, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. She was a faithful lifelong member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church, the Fidelis Sunday School Class, and a 60-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Young believed faithfully in tithing and kept a composition notebook of her seamstress work so that she could tithe to her church. Mrs. Young is survived by her children Patricia Williams (Bobby), Maxine Garnto (Wendell) and Sammy Young (April), six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Social Hall Building Fund at Brown Memorial Baptist Church in Mrs. Young's memory.
