Billie Jean Douglas

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Jean Douglas, age 78, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Barbara Nelson and Rev. Al Soles will officiate. Mrs. Douglas was born April 15, 1937 in Wrightsville, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late J.D. Oxford and Maggie Laura Osburn Oxford and her two husbands, Gerald Monta Morris and Emory Joel Douglas. She was a member of Boiling Springs United Methodist Church and was retired from Forstman & Company. Mrs. Douglas passed away Friday, February 19, 2016. She is survived by her son Gerald Monta Morris of East Dublin, two daughters, Becky (Al) Soles and Jerri (Doug) Kvanda of Elchon, CA, a brother, Pat (Janet) Oxford of Wrightsville, a sister, Daisy Brantley of Dublin, three grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Jones, Chasity Rena Morris and Brian Soles and 10 great-grandchildren, Zach Jones, Brayen Jones, Camara Jones, Chebelle Jones, Rosslan Francis Morris, Alyssa Soles, Bethany Soles, Rae Leigh Soles, Luch Soles and Hart Soles. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:45 Tuesday before the service. Pallbearers will be Brannon Jones, Zach Jones, Brayen Jones, Brian Soles, Wesley Oxford. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
