Billy Bridges

Funeral services for Mr. Billy Bridges, age 79, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at New Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Marty Deal & Rev. Michael Bailey will officiate. Mr. Bridges was born July 11, 1935 in Washington County. He was preceded in death by his parents, K.E. and Addie Roberson Bridges and two daughters, Joan Marie Bridges and Julie G. Bridges. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, church treasurer, Sunday School teacher and was active in the Men's Brotherhood. He was retired from Citizens Bank of Washington County as a vice-president. Mr. Bridges passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Princine Kitchens Bridges of Wrightsville, a daughter, Joye (Jimmy) Cook of Wrightsville, a brother, Bobby Bridges of Riddleville, a sister, Ruth Hammock, two grandsons, Justin Cook and Gavin Cook and three great-granddaughters, Cali Cook, Riley Cook and Aubree Cook. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday November 4, 2014 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
