Billy Derek Carter

Memorial Services for Billy Derek Carter, age 53 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Pecan Orchard on West Court Street. Rev. Sammy Hall will officiate. Mr. Carter was born November 17, 1965 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Billy Alvin Carter. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, E.B. and Nell Keyton, and Cleveland and Ellen Carter. He attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church growing up. Mr. Carter passed away June 16, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Carter is survived by his mother, Lindal Keyton Carter of Wrightsville, a brother, Daniel Chan (Erica H.) Carter of Wrightsville, and 2 nephews, Jackson Carter and Crew Carter. Pallbearers will be Johnny Keyton, Jim Holton, Shane Keyton, Shawn Keyton, Jason Carter, and Ken Powell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Bradshaw, Tom Hutcheson, Waylon Roberts, Ben Attaway, Greg Jordan, and Scotty Garnto. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, June 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
