Billy Hugh Pullen

Memorial services for Billy Hugh Pullen, age 83, will be held 11:00 A.M, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Keith Powell will officiate. Mr. Pullen was born November 20, 1935 in Kite, Ga., where he lived and worked as a farmer and livestock dealer his entire life. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas "Tom" Jefferson Pullen and Gertrude "Trudie" Powell Pullen, his wife Sally Powell Pullen, his brothers and sisters Tommy Pullen, Cecil Pullen Garrett, Doris Pullen Price, Glennis Pullen Cook, Ruby Pullen Frost and Ovid Pullen. Mr. Pullen is survived by his daughters Marian Pullen (Tom) Orton of Hampton, FL; Terri Pullen (David) Shiver of Chula; Sharon Pullen (Charles) Sutton of Kite, Karen Pullen (Roger) Morris of Lyons; Billie Jo Pullen (William) Hall of Dublin, and Staci Pullen (Johnie) Carter of Wrightsville; his 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Matt Orton, Tyler Orton, Dustin Orton and Billy Sutton. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Orton, Blayne Taylor, Brevyn Sutton and James Taylor. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M. prior to the service at the church. Stanley Funeral Home/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
