Blanton "Mann" Eugene Green

Funeral services for Blanton "Mann" Eugene Green, age 81, will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 7, 2020 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home with Rev. Gregg Soles officiating. Interment will follow in Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Green was born on December 5, 1938 in Laurens County to the late Millard and Maybell Green. Blanton retired from the City of Dublin Fire Department with 28 years of service. He was a very loving spouse, father and grandfather, that loved to spend quality time cooking, gardening, vacationing, and spending time with his pets, his dog Mollie and horse Stormy. He was a member of Christ Chapel of Dublin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smith Green, brother, Edward (Grace) Green, and sister Mary Frances (Buck) Shepherd. Mr. Green passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at Serenity Place Hospice. Mr. Green is survived by his sons Randall E. (Sandy) Green and Ronald A. (Renee) Green of Dublin, and daughters Teresa (Norman) Green Bacon of Callahan, FL and Lisa (Scott) Mullis of Dexter, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Randy Shepherd, Wayne Shepherd, Cody Selph, Ty Moorman, Mark Dubose, and Eddie Beck. Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of the fire department. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the funeral home. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect, and seating capacity will be limited as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Serenity Place Hospice. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
