Bobby R. Moorman

Graveside services for Bobby R. Moorman, age 93, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Kelly Maddox will officiate. Mr. Moorman was born January 19, 1929, in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Simmie and Elene Moorman. He was also preceded in death by his wife Dottie W. Moorman, a son Marshall Gregg Moorman, and brothers Waylon Moorman, Bennet Moorman, Harold Moorman and sister Marlene Bridges. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and Deacon for many years. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather for 72 years. He was a farmer for 50 plus years and loved to hunt and fish. He passed away Monday, January 24, at his home following a brief illness. Mr. Moorman is survived by his daughter Kathy Moorman (Mike) Skipper of Lovett, grandchildren Skip (Hannah) Skipper, Gregg Moorman, Jr. and Deidre Byrd and several nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Skip Skipper, Veal Moorman, Phil Walker, Tommy Kight, Stuart Stanley and Ted Bland. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mary Alice Watson 727 Flanders Lane, Dublin, GA 31021. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
