Bobby Whipple Slaughter

Mr. Bobby Whipple Slaughter, age 79, died Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his residence. A celebration of life gathering will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Stanley Funeral Home & Crematory in Dublin. Mr. Slaughter was born June 29, 1939 in Cochran, Georgia. He served in the United States Navy and was retired from the GTE / Verizon phone company. He made Laurens County his home for the past 13 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Joseph Slaughter and Georgia Johnson Slaughter. Mr. Slaughter is survived by his wife, Janet Friel Slaughter, by son Robert (Trina) Slaughter, by daughter Patty (Carl) Mills, by grandchildren Sherry (James) Glover, Hope (John) Blankenship, Brandy Richardson, and Hunter Morehouse, and by great grandchildren Jordyn, Caleb, Layna, Haylah, Chasten, Kevin, and Briesyne. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
