Bobby Russell Waller

Funeral services for Bobby Russell Waller, 84, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Brown Memorial Baptist Church with interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 5002 Bartow Dublin Rd, Wrightsville, GA. Rev. Chad Waller will officiate. Mr. Waller was born February 24, 1937, in Pringle, Georgia to the late Mack and Alma Garrett Waller. He was a 1956 graduate of Wrightsville Highschool. At 17, he joined the Army National Guard and in 1958 he joined the United States Air Force and was Honorably discharged in 1962. On November 24, 1961, he married Barbara Peavy Waller at East Dublin Baptist Church and were married 60 years. He retired from Georgia Power in 1992, after 30 years as senior trouble man serving the Dublin district. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, raising goats and cattle. He was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Waller passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at his home. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Peavy Waller of Wrightsville, two sons, Tracy Waller (Kay) of Harrison and Stacy Waller (Tammy) of Wrightsville, a daughter, Angie Johnson (Keith) of Sandersville, two brothers, C.L. Waller of Warthen and Phillip Waller (Betty Jane) of Harrison, two sisters, Maxine Garret (Charles) of Dublin and Betty Carey of Tennille, sister-in-law, Geraldine Waller of Harrison, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Sunday at the church. Pallbearers will be Mack Waller, Matthew Waller, Michael Waller, Zach Johnson, Parker Johnson, Cam Waller, Casey Garrett and Bruce Deal. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
