Funeral services for Brenda J. Howell, age 72, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 9, 2021, at Faith Christian Assembly with interment to follow in Graham Memorial Church of the Nazarene Cemetery. Rev. Doug Bridges and Rev. Evan Manning officiating.
Ms. Howell was born December 5, 1948, at home in Laurens County. She was a very dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. She attended Faith Christian Assembly and loved her church family. She was retired from Scott Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by parents Bill and Eloise Dudley, husband Franklin Howell, maternal grandparents Geneva and Ruby Stewart, and paternal grandparents Jim and Mollie Dudley. Ms. Howell passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, in Fairview Park Hospital.
She is survived by sons, Tim Howell, Tommy Howell (Pam) and Kevin Howell and a daughter, Amanda Howell, sisters Burnette Watson and Barbara Brown (Curt), brothers Jack Dudley (Carolyn) and Ronnie Dudley (Julie), grandchildren, Joe Howell, Shay Thigpen (Robert), Seth Howell (Nikki), Cammie Thigpen (Aaron), Casey Howell, Jake Howell, Mollie Howell, Addie Howell Gracie Howell, Brianna McDonald, Colton Stalling, Cole Browning, Cameron Morris, and Courtney Shillingburg, 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family will gather at the home of Seth and Nikki Howell, 811 Catlin Spur, East Dublin, Georgia.
Pallbearers will be Jake Howell, Seth Howell, Joe Howell, Roberth Thigpen, Aaron Thigpen, Daniel Davis, Kin Edwards, and Michael Mihalik. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Warnock, Tracy Warnock, Steve Thomas, Stan Thomas, Chris McCullars, David Helton, Tammy Hodges, Jody Supernor, Renee Thomas, Helen Wyatt, Wonnie Oliver, James and Iola Covington, Craig Haywood, and Wanda Guillaume.
