Brenda Gail Wittmer

Funeral services for Brenda Gail Wittmer, age 62, will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, October 6, 2023, in the Richard N. Stanley, Jr. Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Craige Foskey officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Ms. Wittmer was born on April 30, 1961, in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Charles and Jewell Carter. She lived in Wrightsville, Georgia and was employed with Electro-Mech Scoreboard Company. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Marion Barry Carter. Ms. Wittmer passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tara Wittmer (Cody Mixon) of Adrian and Tanya Wittmer of Wrightsville; two brothers, Donnie Ray Carter (Danene) of Aiken, SC and Charles Terry Carter of Beaufort, SC; sister, Lynn Carter Eubanks (Alan) of North Augusta, SC; five grandchildren, Cody Mixon, Jr., Kileigh Mixon, Kerra Mixon, Jacob Wittmer and Alexis Morgan; and her significant other, William Smith of Wrightsville.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Sweat, Jimmy Stewart, Dylan Shepard, Eric Baker, and Derek Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Mixon, Jr. and Jacob Wittmer.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
