Brinette Norris Rogers

Funeral services for Ms. Brinette Norris Rogers will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Brown Memorial Baptist Church with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Rev. Burton Dixon and Rev. Randy Adams will officiate. Ms. Rogers was born August 22, 1926 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents Augustus Brinson Norris and Thelma Beasley Norris, by her husband Robert Thomas Rogers, by brother William L. Norris, by sister Annelle N. Waller, by niece Debbie Waller Mikkell, and by nephew Brent Norris. She was a Paraprofessional with the Johnson County Board of Education for 29 years. She was a member of Brown Memorial Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She loved her family, friends, and church. One of her special hobbies was cooking for her family and friends. She was thankful for her long-blessed life of 92 years. Ms. Rogers passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019. She is survived by a son Robert (Patricia) Rogers and a daughter Robyn (Jon) Mills all of Dublin, by brother James B. Norris of Augusta, by brother-in-law C. L. Waller of Warthen, by four grandsons Wesley (Devin) Rogers of Moultrie, Dr. Christopher (Kylee) Rogers of Savannah, Brad Mills of Adrian and Norris Mills of Perry, and two great grandchildren Parker Leigh Rogers and Robert Webb Rogers of Moultrie. She is also survived by three nieces and 2 nephews. Pallbearers are Wesley Rogers, Dr. Christopher Rogers, Brad Mills, Norris Mills, Terry Norris and Tyler Norris. Honorary pallbearers are the deacons of Brown Memorial Baptist Church. The family would like to thank her caregiver Hope Brooks, Serenity Hospice and the James Place for taking special care of Ms. Brinette. The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. to 2:45 P.M. at the church prior to the service. The family will meet at the residence of Robert and Patricia Rogers, 101 Cedar Creek Dr, Dublin, GA 31021. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Brown Memorial Baptist Building Fund. Stanley Funeral Home/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
