Britt "Billy" Johnson, Jr.

Funeral services for Britt "Billy" Johnson, Jr., age 80 will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Marie Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate. Mr. Johnson was born May 13, 1938 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Britt and Mattie Mae Hatheway Johnson, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his son, Christopher Britt Johnson, Jr.. He was retired as the owner and operator of Johnson's Backhoe Service. He was a member of Marie Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Serenity Place. Mr. Johnson is survived by his loving wife, Alice Faye Johnson of Dublin, 2 daughters, Jennifer (Wade) Sharpe of Dublin and Melissa Hughes of Panama City Beach, FL, a brother Claxton Johnson of East Dublin, a sister, Carolyn Watson of East Dublin, 5 grandchildren, Bridgette Graham, Amber Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Samantha Sharpe, and Breanna Hughes, and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Marie Baptist Church. The family will also be meeting at the residence of Jennifer and Wade Sharpe at 545 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, Georgia 31021. Pallbearers will be Ray Johnson, Rex Johnson, Jimmy Johnson, Richard Johnson, Lance Johnson, and Greg Smith. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
