Carlene Kitchens Williams

Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Kitchens Williams, age 82, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Wrightsville First Methodist Church with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Mrs. Williams passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Rev. Mrs. Williams was born on March 16, 1942, in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was a retired case worker with the Johnson County DFCS. She was a member of Wrightsville First Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and played the piano and organ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl L. Kitchens and Ruby Wood Kitchens, and brothers, Howard Kitchens and Myles Kitchens.

She is survived by her husband of more than 63 years Roy Williams; two loving daughters, Debra Williams Hall (Steve) and Donna Williams Layman (Bryan); sister, Hazel Kitchens Price; five precious grandchildren, Chris Hall (Chelsea), Faith Summers (John), Aaron Layman, Amy Hall (Tremaine) and Alyssa Layman Martin (Tylar); six adorable great grandchildren, Nicolas Stark, Thomas Summers, Camden Smith, Jaxon Radetsky, Paisleigh Dent and Cadence Dent; and many loving nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She called all her loved ones by one name, "Darlin".

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Hall, Aaron Layman, John Summers, Tremaine Dent, Trad Price, and George Lord. Honorary pallbearers will be Tylar Martin, Jim Williams, Michael Williams and Jeff Williams.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville has charge of the funeral arrangements.
