Carlston Daniel Blankenship, Jr.

Graveside funeral services for Carlston Daniel Blankenship, Jr., age 80 will be held at 4:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Joshua Nicholson will officiate. Mr. Blankenship was born on August 22, 1935 in Dodge County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Carlston Daniel Blankenship, Sr. and Lessie Parkerson Blankenship. He was retired from the United States Post Office. He served in the United States Air Force. He attended Jefferson Street Baptist Church for many years before moving to Dudley Baptist Church. Mr. Blankenship passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015 at Shamrock Nursing and Rehab. Mr. Blankenship is survived by his wife, Margaret Warren Blankenship of Dublin, a son, Randy Edwin (Rose) Blankenship of Atlanta, 2 daughters, Tonya Blankenship (Clayton) Nicholson of Dexter, and Kim Blankenship (Mike) Roth of Jacksonville, NC, a brother, Charles (Kathy) Blankenship of Osaka, MN, and 2 sisters, Margaret (Tom) Stuck of Bonaire, and Jerri (Jay) Craddock of Eastman. Mr Blankenship was much loved by 3 grandsons, Logan, Joshua, and Seth Nicholson and 2 beautiful granddaughters, Haley and Taylor Roth. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel have charge of funeral arrangements.
