Carolyn Mae Pryor Evans

Funeral services for Carolyn Mae Pryor Evans, age 77, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Mimbs will officiate. Mrs. Evans was born July 23, 1941 and is a native of Laurens County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Pryor and the late Mae Williams Pryor. Mrs. Evans retired from the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edward Bertrel Evans, and a brother, Truman Pryor. She was a member of Montrose Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Southland Nursing Home. Mrs. Evans is survived by her son, Mickey Edward Evans and daughter-in-law, Charlie Evans of Dublin; a daughter, Linda Ann Evans Sapp and son-in-law, Terry Sapp of Danville; a sister, Marjorie Pryor Britt of Adrian; grandchildren, Justin Edward Evans of Dublin, and Macey Sapp Elks and husband, Sandy Elks of Bonaire; great-grandchildren, ArdieRay Edward Evans of Dublin, Miranda Jade Curl of Dublin, Dane Sanders Elks of Bonaire, and Kael Justus Elks of Bonaire; and devoted companion, Howard Walker of Dublin. Pallbearers will be Tommy Garrett, Scotty White, Monty Cochran, David Sistrunk, Glenn Oliver, and Gromiko Hudson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 5, 2018 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
