Carson Lanier Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Carson Lanier Smith, age 72, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jimmy Sumner and Rev. Tim Lumley will officiate. Mr. Smith was born May 26, 1943 in Adrian, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Marvin Cecil Smith & Clara Mae Giles Smith, a brother, Cecil Smith, Jr. and two sisters, Syble Lee Jones and Mildred Carter. He was retired from Forstman & Company and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Smith of East Dublin, a son, Kenneth (Anthony (Donnette) Smith of Dublin, a sister, Eurma Smith (Lamar) Garrett of Dublin and a granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Smith. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jesse Garrett, Tony Hayes, Daryl Sumner, Jason Lumley, Stephen Lumley and Dwayne Lumley.
