Catherine Ann Snell

Ms. Catherine Ann Snell, age 71, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Snell was born March 9, 1954, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the daughter of the late George Eason Thigpen and Lonie Sterling Thigpen. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tammie Reneé Gay. She was a member of East Dublin Baptist Church where she was Baptized years ago. She was retired from Dairy Queen. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her family.

Ms. Snell is survived by her daughter, Pamela A. Lee; 4 grandchildren, Britney Ann Lee, Claudia Reneé Lee, Nathaniel Tilman Lee, and Donnie Tyler Gay; 6 great-grandchildren, Aspyn, Ava, Josslyn, Emilia, Alba, and Rutledge; 4 sisters, Delores T. Graham, Stella C. Graham, Gloria Jean Downs, and Ellen Kenney; and a special close family friend, Charlotte NeSmith.

Ms. Snell donated her body to science to help further the advancement of medical research.
