Charles Bernard Jackson

Funeral services for Charles Bernard Jackson, age 80, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 20, 2021, at First Christian Church, Wrightsville with Bro. Wade C. Williams and Mr. Ralph Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was born on May 28, 1940, in Donovan, Georgia to Forrest and Myrtice Jackson. After high school he served in the United States Air Force for four years. He lived in Atlanta and was a retired Marta driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Nell Jackson and a brother, William Forrest (Billy) Jackson Sr. Mr. Jackson passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at Washington County Extended Care Facility. Mr. Jackson is survived by his brother, Curtis L. Jackson (Eloise), sister-in-law, Pat Jackson, nieces and nephews, Maribeth Jackson, William Forrest (Bill) Jackson Jr., Patrice Jackson, Robert (Bob) Jackson, Kathy Williford, Curt Jackson, and Elizabeth Jackson, 7 great nieces, and 7 great nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M at the church. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask are recommended by those in attendance. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
