Charles M. Sanavitis

Funeral services for Charles M. Sanavitis, age 80, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Bankston officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.

Mr. Sanavitis was born on November 15, 1943, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was a member of the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church and was retired from Engelhard Corporation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Katherine Armstrong Sanavitis. Mr. Sanavitis passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Strother Sanavitis of Wrightsville; daughter, Lori (Gregg) Jordan of Wrightsville; son, Michael (Jennifer) Sanavitis of Hendersonville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Kara Jordan and Kaleigh Jordan of Statesboro, Graham Sanavitis and Ella Claire Sanavitis of Hendersonville, TN.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 2:45 P.M., Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Wrightsville First United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Powell, Charles Sutton, Robert Bray, Jimmy Cook, Steve Gresham, and Scott Gresham. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Holmes, Jimmy Moore, Dennis Moore, Donnie Defoe, Billy Price, Roy Williams, Herb Vickers, and Eddie Jordan.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
