Charles David Smith

Funeral services for Charles David Smith, age 68 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Liberty Church, with interment to follow at 2:30 P.M. at Farmdale Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvania. Rev. Keith Collins will officiate.

Mr. Smith was born January 28, 1956, in Boston, MA. He was the son of the late Henry Lawrence Smith and Katie Ann Allen Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Michelle Brannen Smith. He was the owner and operator of Smith Plumbing. He was a member of Liberty Church. He loved and had a passion for hog hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren playing ball, and gardening. Mr. Smith passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Dylan (Harley) Smith of Rentz, Brock (Kristy) Smith of Dublin, and Joshua Smith of Brunswick 2 brothers, Danny Smith of Fort Valley, and Mike Smith of Dublin; a sister, Kathy Smith of Dudley; and 5 grandchildren, Case Smith, Rayley Smith, Coleman Smith, Jacob Smith, and Ashton Smith.

Pallbearers will be David Brown, Kevin Braddy, Brandon McAllister, Don Tyson, Nick Tidwell, and Dennis Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
