Charles J. Smith, Iii

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Charles J. Smith, III, age 74, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Piney Mount United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Aubrey Smith officiating. Mr. Smith was born August 7, 1944 in Savannah, Georgia; he was preceded in death by his parents, the late Charles Jordon Smith and Elizabeth Smith and his wife, Alexis Elise Hansell Smith. He has made his home in Johnson County for the past 42 years and was a farmer. Mr. Smith passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at his residence. He is survived by his children, Charles (Renee) Kicklighter of Martinez and Pamela Jeanette Kicklighter of Wrightsville, his significant other, Carrol Greene of Acworth, two grandchildren, Ashton Elise Sumner and Kari Michelle Sumner and two great-grandchildren, Logan Joshua Clements and Ace Dane Young. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2018 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
