Charles Griffin Thompson

Funeral services for Charles Griffin Thompson, age 80, will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 13, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Thompson was born on May 3, 1944, in Cadwell, Georgia. He was the son of the late Arthur Lee Thompson and Nellie Bond Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Chuck Thompson, a grandson, Brett Michael Graham, a brother, Sam Thompson, and a sister, Barbara Faye Thompson. Charles and his brother Sam started Lime Sink Creek Honey. He was an avid fisherman, and wood worker. He loved cooking for everyone. His passion was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He retired from Lifetime Cabinet. He was an attendant at the Laurens County Recycling Center. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Thompson passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Dublinair Nursing Home.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his loving wife, Faye Sapp Thompson of Cadwell; a daughter, Tracy Thompson (Greg) Graham of Cadwell; 2 grandchildren, Haley (Stephen) Dendy, and Madison (Tucker) Hill; and 3 great-grandchildren, Sam Dendy, Lucy Hill, and Anne Dendy.

Pallbearers will be Matt Sapp, Chris Sapp, Brad Sapp, Will Sapp, Chad Sapp, Sam Riner, and Jack Riner.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Council, Warren Council, Stan Wright, Wayne Christian, Florida Bob, Don Christian, Bob Pope, Tony Martin, Larry Stevenson, Buddy Brewer, Larry Brewer, Jonathan Kowtko, Skeeter Weatherly.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM Monday, January 13, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in memory of Mr. Thompson to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Brotherhood or Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund in C/O of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at P.O. Box 40, Cadwell, GA 31009.
