Christina Sumner

Christina Sumner, age 46, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Sandersville, Georgia.

Mrs. Sumner was born on September 28, 1979, in Dublin, Georgia. She was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School and was an insurance claims adjuster for AICI. She will be remembered as a smart and caring mother and daughter.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Kaylyn) Sumner of Statesboro, Tommy Mershon of Macon, Clayton (Serenity) Mershon of Wrightsville, and Cody Mershon of Tennille; and her mother, Teresa Swanson of Bradenton, Florida.

The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory in Wrightsville, Ga.

Mrs. Sumner will be memorialized by cremation, and a private service will be held in Westview Cemetery at a later date.
