Funeral services for Mr. Christopher G. White, Jr., age 91 will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Darren Talley will officiate. Mr. White was born on April 1, 1923 in Dublin, Georgia. He was the son of the late Christopher G. White, Sr. and Saralyn Peacock Kendrick . He has lived in Covington, Georgia since 1969. He was retired as a Civil Engineer for Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Covington Presbyterian Church. Mr. White passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle. Mr. White is survived by his loving wife, Margie Bryans White of Covington, a son, Douglas Bryans White of Social Circle, and 3 grandchildren, Ashley Bryans King, Alayne White Melancon, and Cassandra Hogan Dardar. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until 12:45 P.M. on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Barrentine , Mike McAfee, Brad King, and Brad Melancon.
