Claxton Johnson

Funeral services for Claxton Johnson, age 90, will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 17, 2019 in the Marie Baptist Church Chapel with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bobby Hutto will officiate. Mr. Johnson was born March 23, 1929 in Dublin, Georgia to parents Britt Johnson and Mattie Hathaway Johnson. He was a United States Navy veteran and a retired aircraft mechanic with Lockheed Martin. He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Glover Johnson. Mr. Johnson passed away Friday, August 9, 2019. He is survived by his sons Arthur Johnson and Richard Johnson both of Dublin, by a daughter Vickie Boothe of Louisiana, by sister Carolyn Watson of Dublin, and also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Marie Baptist Church Chapel. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
