Clyde Edward Dixon

Graveside Funeral services for Clyde Edward Dixon, age 81 will be held 12:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro, North Carolina. Mr. Dixon was born on October 1, 1933 in Asheboro, North Carolina. He was the son of the late Oren Swain and Margaret Pauline Fox Dixon. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Terri Dixon Simmons. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a disabled Veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Dixon passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Frances Dixon of East Dublin, 3 sons, William Dixon of Dublin, Richard (Tammy) Dixon of Dublin, and Robert (Donna) Dixon of Ozark, AL, a sister, Helen Jones of Greensboro, NC, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
