Funeral services for Connie Kight Lindsey, age 71 will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 29, 2016 at Lovett United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Northview Cemetery. Rev. Barbara Nelson, Rev. Kelly Maddox, and Rev. Kevin Tanner will officiate.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on April 6, 1945 in Macon, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Leo Earl Kight Sr. and Runell Johnson Kight. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Elbert Lindsey. She was a member of Lovett United Methodist Church where she was a previous Song Leader. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion. She was a past member of the Dublin Pilot Club, Brewton Lovett V.F.D. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the John Lawrence Chapter of D.A.R... She was also very instrumental in getting the Vietnam Moving Wall brought to Dublin. She was a retired registered nurse. Mrs. Lindsey passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at Medical Center of Navicent Health.
Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her daughter, Alia Lindsey (David) Valente of Arlington, VA, a brother, Leo (Emily) Kight of Lovett, a sister, Loette Kight (Ben) Mercer of Dexter, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Wilson, Lamar Mercer, Jeff Hall, Lee Washburn, Tony Kight, Curtis Moorman, Tom Kight, and Kevin Tanner.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 919 Earl Kight Road, East Dublin, GA 31027.
