Funeral services for Mrs. Corene Dykes Mason Dugger, age 98, will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Richard N. Stanley Memorial Chapel with Rev. L.T. Logue officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Garden, 4969 Georgia Highway 15, Vidalia, Georgia.
Mrs. Dugger was born September 7, 1920 in Vidalia: she was preceded in death by her parents, Major Pierce Dykes and Cora Lee Polk Dykes, two husbands, Madison Henry Mason and Durwood Corlis Dugger, a daughter, Elizabeth Robitzsch, four brothers, Rev. Major Dykes, Jr., Lenard Dykes, Jule Dykes and Edwin Dykes and three sisters, Ruth Kitchens, Pauline Merritt and Bess Timmerman. She was a member of Bethsaida Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved her family, her children and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning her home and visiting friends and family and going to church. She was always very close to her family. Mrs. Dugger passed away Monday, September 24, 2018.
She is survived by her children, Sue (Gene) Wells of Wrightsville and Bill (Sharon) Mason of Brunswick, son-in-law, Henderson Robitzsh, 10 grandchildren, Tony, Kathy, Robin, Amy, Steve, Keith, Melinda, Marsha, Melissa and Michelle, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 P.M. until funeral hour, Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Tony Robitzsch, Mason Garrett, Michael Ashe, Don Garrett, John Glover and Hanson Brantley.
