Corene Griffin Lewis

A Celebration of Life Memorial services for Corene Griffin Lewis, age 81, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Jefferson Street Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Kyle Giddens will officiate.

Mrs. Lewis was born on July 19, 1943, in Brantley County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Onimus Melvin and Alma Medlin Griffin and her siblings, Barney Griffin, Jesse Griffin, Troy Griffin, Mildred Harris, Loran Griffin, Lonzo Griffin, Marvin Griffin, Chan Griffin, Melvin Griffin, Vera Blocker and Hazel Lee. She was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church and the Sunshine Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Lewis passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024.

She is survived by her husband James E. Lewis, Sr. of Dublin; a son, James E. Lewis, Jr. of Dublin; a daughter, Dana Lewis Moore and her husband Eddie Moore of Dublin; a brother, Coleman Griffin of Fort Valley; a grandchild, Conner Moore; a grand dog, Rex Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
