Graveside funeral services for Coy Lee Cooper, age 82, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Rev. George Grimes officiating.


Mr. Cooper was born on September 24, 1941, in Greenville, Mississippi, where he was a member of United Pentecostal Church. He was a United States Army veteran and lived in Dublin for the last 27 years where he retired as a security guard with YKK. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Katie Lee Rodgers Cooper and his siblings, Richard Cooper, Annie Mae Miller, Brenda Pearson, and Louise Cooper. Mr. Cooper passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.


He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Cooper of Dublin, a son, Carl Cooper of Dublin, a daughter, Catherine (John) Pugh of Dublin, a brother, Tommy Cooper of Louisiana, and many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.


The family would like to thank Georgia Hospice Care especially Peggy, Tomeka, and Darlene and to the VA Homebound Team for the loving care provided to our father.


Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
