Funeral services for Curtis Wayne Daniel, age 62, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 13, 2021, in the Richard N. Stanley Jr. Memorial Chapel with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery. Rev. David Smallwood and Rev. Randy Adams officiating
Mr. Daniel was born December 19, 1958, in Sandersville, Georgia. Curtis worked in the kaolin industry for many years and many years as a chimney sweep. He loved his family and tailgating with his friends at the "Beauty Spot", cheering on those Georgia Bulldogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie "W.C." Daniel of Sandersville and grandson Brantley Daniel of Tennille. Curtis passed away in the early morning hours on August 10, 2021, at Augusta University Hospital after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Daniel of Harrison, sons, Brant (Candy) Daniel of Wrightsville, Matt (Amy) Daniel of Tennille, and D. J. Parker of Louisville. Daughters, Mandy (Matthew) Daniel of Panama City, FL, and Kelly (Robert) Wright of Macon. Mother, Marilyn Daniel of Sandersville, brother, Nick Daniel of Sandersville. 9 grandchildren, and his beloved fur baby Roscoe.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Grady Lindsey, Jimmy Ray Smith, Wayne Wilkerson, John Moore, Cliff Smith, and Ross Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Raines, Andy Orr, and Jonathan Hitchcock.
Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
