He is also lovingly remembered by his children: Shelia (Robbie) Ross of Charleston, South Carolina; Cathy Patrick of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Amy (Randy) Tanner of Wrightsville, Georgia; and Mark (Kathy) Neal of Harrison, Georgia. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Dan proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he trained as a Green Beret medic. He completed two tours in Vietnam and received multiple awards in recognition of his bravery and dedicated service. Following his military service, Dan became a nationally certified electrical contractor. He built a successful career working across commercial, industrial, and residential electrical sectors.
Dan retired from JM Huber Corporation, where he had the privilege of working alongside a brotherhood of beloved coworkers. Even in retirement, he continued to keep them close in his heart and fondly remembered the camaraderie they shared.
In his leisure time, Dan enjoyed many hobbies, including golfing, boating, fishing, and scuba diving. He cherished spending time with family and friends and found great joy in cooking for his loved ones.
Dan will be remembered for his love for his family, his strength, and his unwavering faith. He was a devoted follower of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and delighted in the study of God's Word. His life was a living testimony of grace, humility, and spiritual strength. Dan was also a true prankster at heart—always ready with a quick wit, a playful grin, and a well-timed punchline. His warmth, stories, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
