Darren Kyle Penney

Graveside services for Darren Kyle Penney, age 54, will held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Rev. Jody Martin will officiate. Mr. Penney was born on May 22, 1966 in Decatur, Georgia. Kyle attended Dublin High School and graduated from Central Georgia Technical College as an electronic technician. He prides himself as a third-generation carpenter. He loved to laugh and to make people laugh. He had many talents, from singing to drawing to woodworking. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Joan Priest Penney, and his brother, Tyrone Penney. Mr. Penney passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at his home. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Penney of Perry, his father, Tony (Jackie) Penney of Dublin, his mother-in-law, Bernie Edwards of Perry, his sons, Tyler Parker and Brett Parker of Perry, his brother, Kurt Penney of Dublin, his sister, Simone (Paul) Presley of Dublin, and his grandchildren, Adelynne Parker, Naomi Parker, and Emery Richards. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Stanley Funeral Home/Dublin Chapel. Social Distancing guidelines will be in effect and mask will be required by those attending as we are following the guidelines of the local health district and the CDC. Pallbearers will be Brett Parker, Tyler Parker, Cade Penney, Evan Penney, Greg Dismuke, and Scott Davis. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
